The Melittaklinik surgery department is located within our clinic in Bolzano: it includes specialist outpatient clinics, operating rooms, and an area dedicated to post-surgical hospitalization. Access is through the main lobby. At the Admissions desk, staff welcome patients for their appointments.
Scheduled surgeries take place from Monday to Friday. Depending on the type of procedure, admission may be day hospital, meaning discharge on the same day, or inpatient with an overnight stay of one or more nights. At the time of scheduling, you will receive the relevant information: arrival time, any preparation required, and an estimate of the length of stay.
The patient may be accompanied by a family member or care-giver up to the pre-operative area. After the procedure, visits in the ward are permitted.
Visits to inpatients are allowed every day at the following times:
3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
6:00 pm to 6:45 pm
Yes. To schedule and proceed with a procedure under agreement with the National Health Service, a specialist’s referral or admission proposal is required.
Yes, procedures are scheduled based on a waiting list that takes clinical priority into account.
The length of stay varies based on the type of procedure and the recovery. Day hospital procedures provide for discharge on the same day. Other types of procedures may require a hospital stay of a few days. During the consultation, the surgeon will explain the expected course in advance. Discharge occurs only when conditions are stable and verified.
Yes. Our integrated approach also includes rehabilitation. If post-procedure rehabilitative treatments such as physiotherapy or other therapies are needed, they can be carried out within our facility, either under agreement or privately.
